Do opera singers today require a solo-CD?

Competition among opera singers is becoming increasingly tough. The number of singers is increasing, whereas the recording opportunities are becoming more scarce. As a result of the subsequent “surplus”, it is becoming increasingly rarer for opera singers to be offered the chance to produce a CD.

The solo CD with arias and songs combined with a PR campaign helps:
to increase the profile of the artist in Europe and the USA, to target opera houses, festivals, CD producers and opera magazines and to provide them with current information on a regular basis and thereby increase the likelihood that the artist will be offered a greater number of engagements.
